Exhibitrek Gallery Closing

We had an amazing opening with hundreds of people coming through, and even a few sales. There were at least 4 people who stood in front of the photographs, looking and crying. There was a veterinarian that asked about volunteering at ARNO for a few months. She ended up going out to work with Best Friends in Utah, which did a lot of post Katrina stuff and took 28 of the Micheal "I'm a dirtbag" Vicks dogs.

We also had about $250 in the donations jar that we sent right away to ARNO.

Anyway, the opening was a rush, and I appreciate the mountains of support you all gave us. It was truly a place I never thought I would be at.

On a sad note, we closed the show early, as the owner of the Gallery, Mary Beloshi, died. She was a wonderful person and had been very generous to us, giving us space in the gallery without charging us one cent of commission. Here's to Mary, who made this happen for the animals of New Orleans.
